The Reservationist/Host is a key position for ensuring the overall success of The Copper Crow. They are responsible for ensuring that a guest’s initial experience with the restaurant is successful. This will include phone correspondence, pre-arrival arrangements and arrival of the guest for their reservation. These interactions will set the tone for the entirety of the guests’ experience.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Answering phones with a warm and pleasant greeting
• Directing calls to necessary departments such as events, carryout or a manager.
• Assisting future guests with reservations
• Acquiring all necessary reservation information such as Name, Phone Number, Guest Count, Time and Special Requests.
• Ensuring that the restaurant is not overbooked and all reservations are valid 
• Conveying relevant information about reservation to servers/kitchen staff and management if necessary. (e.g. large party sizes, dietary restrictions, celebrations, resets, special requests etc.)
• Greeting guests as they arrive
• Showing guests to their correct table in the restaurant
• Assisting with coat check as needed
• Operating our reservation system ‘OpenTable’ with the highest level of efficiency 
• Ensuring that all tables are accurate in status within the system
• Assisting with the readying of a table for guests if needed
• Tidying and restocking bathrooms (both male and female) in all sections of the restaurant including the coat closet
• Conducting tours of the restaurant as needed
• Processing Gift Card purchases for guests as needed
• Checking the reservation line messages and returning calls as needed
• Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the core competencies of the business on demand (including appropriate dress code, general menu questions, party size options, etc)
• Other Duties as Assigned
